Helping Older Adults, Their Families, and Caregivers

VeriCare - About Us
VeriCare®, formerly named Senior Psychology Services, has become one of the country’s leading providers of quality mental health care to older adults in skilled and residential settings. We are committed to consistent, competent and comprehensive programs, and take pride in our high ethical and clinical standards. Our values emphasize quality, convenience and professionalism,
from our home office and regional operations to our licensed professional staff.

Our success and growth over our first ten years have brought us to a new name to fit the evolving scope of our work. In the spring of 2002, the company changed its name from Senior Psychology Services to VeriCare, which stems from the Latin word for truth, veritas, and emphasizes our attention to integrity and competence, the cornerstones on which this company was built.  This new name makes a statement to our employees and our clients: this is what we stand for, this is what we value.

Partnering with LTC Facilities

With the high incidence of medical disorders, and mental and behavioral problems in nursing homes, facilities that partner with an experienced provider are assured of individually-tailored programs for their residents, reduced burdens of care for their staff, and improved compliance with OBRA and the new Quality Indicators. Our centralized intake, billing and quality management departments ensure that no operational or clinical details are left unattended.

Opportunities for Providers

VeriCare - Opportunities for Providers
We welcome inquiries from prospective providers who want to join our team, whether on a full or part time, salaried or fee-for-service basis. There are employment opportunities for psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers, and nurse practitioners/clinical nurse specialists, with full benefits packages.

Information for Families and Other Caregivers

Current research evidence suggests that at least 40% of nursing home residents exhibit some symptoms of depression, and that up to two-thirds of the residents may have some type of mental disorder. Professional behavioral and mental health services are available that have been shown to be as effective as medication, and may have more lasting benefits.
