Since July 1991,
Vericare, formerly named Senior Psychology Services and Senior Psychiatric Services, has developed an outstanding program, bringing quality mental and behavioral health services to elderly residents in nursing homes and other long term care settings. We have maintained the highest clinical and ethical standards and have earned a very positive reputation with our professional staff and our client facilities.

We currently service over 1,000 facilities in eight states, and employ more than 300 full and part-time psychologists, psychiatrists, clinical social workers and nurse practitioners/clinical nurse specialists who provide assessment, treatment, behavior management, medication management to residents and their families, and inservice training to staff.

As we continue to grow and expand, we have opportunities throughout Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware,  Florida, Arkansas, Indiana, Texas,, and California for licensed providers. Providers are hired only as employees of the company; independent contractors are not used.

  • Reimbursement on a fee-for-service basis, or in some areas, on a salaried basis.
  • Opportunity to supplement one’s private practice with a regular, predictable day per week or more of work, and flexible scheduling during work hours.
  • There is a minimum of "no shows" or cancellations, such as occur in a private practice.
  • No billing hassles – you are paid for all services provided, whether Vericare has been reimbursed or not.
  • No bad debt – checks are mailed to providers on the 20th of the month following the month of service.
  • No office needed, no support staff required and no overhead.
  • The work is rewarding and challenging; professional relationships develop with staff, physicians and other health care professionals.
  • Quality mental health services can have a greater impact with this population, as compared to other age groups.
  • On-going training and support – C.E. credit for psychologists offered through the APA’s Sponsorship Approval Program.
  • Our benefits package for full-time employees also includes medical, dental and life insurance coverage. Additionally, full-time employees are eligible for mileage and professional license fee reimbursement, paid time off and a program development bonus.
